COLLEGE COUNSELING

The College Counseling Program spans both the University Prep Academy and University Prep Science & Math districts. On a daily basis, students have direct access to a highly trained College Counselor and College Prep Coordinator dedicated to the post-secondary planning and Educational Development Planning (EDP) process.

Our Counselors are credentialed in school guidance and are active in state and national professional associations, including the Michigan Association for College Admission Counseling (MACAC) and the American School Counselor Association (ASCA).

Advanced Placement (AP) Program

University Prep Schools encourages students with a proven academic record, going into their junior or senior year of high school, to participate in the Advanced Placement (AP) Program. The AP courses are designed to provide our advanced learners with a rigorous curriculum equivalent to that of a freshman-level college course; also meeting the needs of those who seek to earn college credit while in high school.

Are you ready to take or retake the ACT on a national testing date? How about the SAT?

Concurrent Enrollment

University Prep Science & Math high school currently offers Concurrent Enrollment courses for eligible juniors and seniors. In partnership with Henry Ford College, professors come to the high school campus to instruct college-level courses on-site.
